Ranks

Ranks denote the command status of each individual soldier within the Singapore Armed Forces’ (SAF) hierarchy. As the SAF is a military organisation, a clearly established chain of command is important for tasks to be carried out efficiently. Learn to recognise the ranks in the SAF, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF).
