Basic Training Programmes enlisting under refreshed MCS
For pre-enlistees enlisting from October 2027 onwards
If you are enlisting from October 2027 onwards under the refreshed medical classification system (MCS), you will be assigned to one of the three Basic Training Programmes within Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) or Singapore Police Force (SPF) based on your medical exemptions and Pre-Enlistee Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT) results.
Basic Training Programmes in SAF

Basic Military Training (BMT)
If you are posted to the SAF, you will undergo one of the following types of BMT programme:

Basic Rescue Training (BRT)
If you are posted to the SCDF, you will undergo one of the following types of BRT programme:
